Case Study: Muro Scents

The Challenge:

Scent is one of the most powerful human senses—yet in digital culture, it’s often invisible, overlooked, and forgotten. Swedish fragrance brand Muro Scents wanted to bring their new fragrance, Ancient Magic, into the future, expanding it beyond a product into an experience that connected memory, ancestry, and imagination.

Smell the future

We partnered with Muro Scents to craft a custom fragrance narrative supported by AI-driven visuals, worldbuilding, and exhibition design. Visitors were invited to “smell the future” through an immersive installation where the fragrance was paired with speculative visual storytelling. QR pathways and narrative messaging guided audiences directly to purchase through their Shopify store.

Impact

By reframing a fragrance as a sensory future artifact, we created a moment where people Ancient Magic became more than a scent, but an experience. The exhibition generated 1,000+ leads, social amplification, and product amplification through Shopify. It also repositioned Muro Scents as a boundary-pushing fragrance brand exploring scent as cultural technology.

Results:

  • 3× higher dwell time at the scent installation compared to other exhibition stations

  • 40% of visitors scanned the QR code leading directly to the Shopify product page

  • Repositioned brand perception, establishing Muro Scents as a future-facing fragrance house rather than a traditional product line
